Conference
The Young Scientist Cancer Congress (YS2C) is an international scientific meeting designed to rethink how early-career researchers and clinicians engage in high-level scientific exchange in cancer research.
Scientific philosophy
YS2C is not a conference where early-career researchers and clinicians are confined to the poster hall.
The conference was conceived to place young scientists at the center of the scientific program, giving them visibility, responsibility, and a genuine role in shaping discussions.
Scientific positioning
YS2C sits at the interface of fundamental, translational, and clinical cancer research. It promotes dialogue across disciplines, career stages, and national borders, with a strong French–German core and a broad international outreach.
Why YS2C exists
Many scientific meetings prioritize established voices. YS2C was created to complement this model by offering a space where early-career researchers can present, discuss, and challenge ideas in a supportive but rigorous environment.
What makes YS2C different
- Early-career researchers at the core of the scientific program
- Balanced time between presentations and discussion
- Strong interaction between basic, translational, and clinical research
- Formats designed to encourage feedback and exchange
International dimension
YS2C is built around a strong French–German collaboration and actively welcomes participants from across Europe, fostering cross-border scientific exchange and long-term collaborations.
Conference atmosphere
The meeting emphasizes accessibility, openness, and scientific rigor. Formal sessions are complemented by informal moments designed to encourage discussion, networking, and collaboration.
Scientific scope
YS2C covers a broad range of topics across cancer research, including but not limited to:
- Cancer biology and tumor microenvironment
- Immuno-oncology
- Pediatric and developmental oncology
- Translational research and clinical interfaces
- Computational biology, bioinformatics, and data science
- Emerging technologies and methodologies
Interdisciplinary focus
By bringing together experimentalists, clinicians, and computational scientists, YS2C encourages cross-disciplinary perspectives and innovative approaches to complex cancer-related questions.
Scientific rigor
Abstract selection, session organization, and invited contributions are guided by scientific quality, originality, and relevance, ensuring a high-level scientific program.
Scientific philosophy
YS2C is not a conference where early-career researchers and clinicians are hidden in the poster hall.
We designed YS2C to give early-career researchers a central role in shaping discussions, presenting their work, and building meaningful collaborations across disciplines.
